The personal wine collection of cellar master Michael Rethaller

It all began around 40 years ago with the idea of producing a series of single-varietal wines with an unadulterated character of origin in the premium segment. This is how the “Selection” was born – eight wines that impress with the best balance of fruit, liveliness and drinkability. The wines are available from well-stocked food retailers such as Spar, Billa and M-Preis, as well as directly from the Lenz Moser online store.

Creating great things together

The vineyards are tended and cared for throughout the year by numerous partner winegrowing families in Lower Austria and Burgenland, and the best grapes are finally selected in collaboration during the harvest. Before the wines are bottled, the final quality control is on the agenda.

All the barrels are then subjected to a comparative tasting and, as in a competition, the best win. It’s a great moment for Michael Rethaller, as his signature vouches for the dedication with which the eight Selection wines were made.
