Schlossweingut Malteser Ritterorden

"Optimus quisque" can be translated as "simply the best". For almost 900 years it has been the motto for the sovereign Order of the Knights of the Vross of Malta.

Since 1969 the Lenz moser winery has been operating this estate, which compromises 48 hectares of the best Mailberg vineyards. The most important grape varieties are the traditional Austrian grapes, such as Grüner Veltliner (20 ha), and Blauer Zweigelt (9 ha). On a further, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir find ideal conditions here on a further 19 hectares of vineyards.

The wines of the Castle Winery of the Knights of the Order of Malta are available only in limited quantity and every bottle bears an individual number.
