High training system on a natural basis
Apart from its main estate in Rohrendorf, Lenz Moser also operates the castle winery of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta in Mailberg/Weinviertel and the Klosterkeller (cloistral cellar) in Siegendorf/Burgenland. Not only the Lenz Moser high training system is put to use at these locations, but also other aspects of ecological winegrowing: Quality is given preference over quantity, and the focus is placed on organic fertilising, natural pest control, and environmentally gentle weed control. |

The fruits of friendship
Lenz Moser cooperates exclusively with winegrowers and wine-making collectives from the winegrowing regions of Lower Austria and Burgenland. This helps ensure that every Lenz Moser wine originates only from Austrian terroirs. Some 3,000 selected winegrowers thus benefit from the support provided by experienced Lenz Moser oenologists.
Tradition and innovation side by side Lenz Moser combines century-long wine culture with state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive know-how. The ecological approach in the vineyard is also applied in the winery and the bottling facilities. As a result, all Lenz Moser red wines become more pleasant to drink through organic fermentation. Our red wines mature in traditional large wooden barrels or barriques in one of Central Europe´s most modern wineries. In contrast, the white wines reach their maximum freshness and fruitiness when stored in cool steel barrels.

At Lenz Moser, not a single phase of winemaking is left to chance. State-of-the-art winery technology and plenty of know-how can help steer all processes in a manner that allows us to get the most out of that treasure hidden in every grape and seal it into the bottle. In order to constantly remain up to date on the state-of-the-art, Lenz Moser invests a lot of time and money in research, development, and technical equipment. We focus on gentle, efficient processing methods, always having one objective in mind: The production of high-quality wines at reasonable prices. A long list of distinctions and awards won by Lenz Moser at national and international competitions and wine-tasting events proves just how well we have managed to reach that objective. |
